Student Opportunities

Centre math majors are broadly educated. Many complete a second major and all comeplete a broad range of general education requirements. Upon graduation, they have been very successful in finding high quality jobs in many different fields. Summer Research

On top of the external research opportunities for our math majors, some members of the faculty spend their summers collaborating with students on research projects. The students then present their findings from their summer work at the annual Joint Mathematics Meetings. In recent years, two of our students, Cate Heine (2018) and Change He (2016) have been awarded the Outstandin Presentation Awards at the 2018 and 2016 Joints Mathematics Meetings respectively.
