Wilbur J.Robinson

Wilbur Judson Robinson was born in Spring Lake, N.Y. He received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and doctorate from Ohio State University. He first taught at Washington College in Chestertown, MD from 1934-1942. From 1942-1943, he taught at Marshall College in Huntington, WV. From 1943-1944 he taught at Allgheny College in Meadville, PA. He was a professor of mathematics and physics at Centre from 1944 until his retirement in 1974.  A charter member of Centre’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter, Robinson died on August 31, 1990.
