A large silver loving cup presented to the Honorable John W. Yerkes (Class of 1873) by members of the Department of Internal Revenue upon retirement as commissioner and given to the College in 1940 by his wife, Mrs. John W. Yerkes, and his daughter, Miss Amelia R. Yerkes (Class of 1901), awarded to the fraternity having the highest academic average for the preceding year.
