Calendar

1831 – year divided into two sessions: Winter session beginning on third Wednesday in October, and continuing for 22 weeks; and Summer session beginning fourth Wednesday in April, and continuing for 21 weeks.

1835 – Winter session from first of October to end of March; Summer session from first of May to end of September, with Commencement on last Thursday of September.

1846 – change to one session per year running from October through July, with vacations at Christmas and in April; Commencement held last Thursday in July.

Fall 1967 – Beginning of three-term calendar and a four-day week of classroom instruction

1991 – Wednesday classes reinstated beginning fall term 1991
